James C. “Jim” Madden, V
Chairman of the Board
Jim Madden is a General Partner with Accretive LLC.
Previously, Jim was the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Exult, Inc., the innovator and
market leader in human resources business processing for Global 500 corporations.
In five years, Exult became the most widely recognized HR processing company in the world,
growing from zero to over $500 million in revenue with over 2,000 employees. Exult operated service centers around
the globe, enabling clients to improve productivity, reduce costs and provide world-class HR services to their
employees. Exult provided services for more than 600,000 client employees with $20 billion in annual employee
payments. More clients included BP, Bank of America, International Paper, Prudential Financial, and BMO Financial
Group.
After merging Exult into Hewitt in late 2004, Jim became a Special Advisor with General Atlantic Partners, a leading private equity firm. Prior to Exult, Jim served in a variety of technology services leadership positions, including President of the U.S. and International unit of MCI Systemhouse.
Prior to joining Systemhouse, Jim was a Principal at the management consulting firm Booz-Allen & Hamilton. He began his career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
Jim currently serves on the Board of Directors of Accolade, a health care services firm serving the Fortune 500, AlphaStaff, a leading HR services firm, Genpact, a global BPO firm, ServiceSource, the leader of outsourced maintenance sales, and TriNet
Jim is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hoag Hospital Foundation, which serves as the fund-raising arm of Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian. He is also a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO).
Jim graduated from Southern Methodist University where he earned a BBA and a BA.
J. Michael Cline
J. Michael Cline is the founding Partner of Accretive LLC. Michael and other Accretive principals founded Exult, Xchanging, Fandango, Accretive Health and Accolade. Before founding Accretive, Michael spent 10 years as General Partner at General Atlantic Partners.
Michael received his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar and he received a BS from Cornell University. He serves on the boards of Accretive Health, Accolade, Arise and AlphaStaff. He is a Trustee of Panthera, where he chairs the Tigers Forever initiative – the world’s largest effort in global tiger conservation. In addition he serves on the Board of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Endeavor Global and the Harvard Business School Rock Center for Entrepreneurship.
Jared Kaplan
Jared Kaplan is a Senior Associate at Accretive LLC. Prior to joining Accretive, Jared was an Investment Banking Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co. in Technology, Media and Telecommunications Group where he focused on mergers, acquisitions and financing strategies.
Jared graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
Jeffrey M. Bizzack
Jeff has been President of ServiceSource Corporation since May 2009.
Mr. Bizzack is responsible for all client-facing activities across the customer lifecycle including sales, marketing, development, and delivery at ServiceSource.
He served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Accenture BPO Services LLC, where he led its expansion for finance, accounting and human resources outsourcing for the mid-market.
Prior to that, he served as Chief Executive Officer Savista LLC since May 2004. He served as an Executive Vice President for Sales and Services of ProBusiness Services, Inc. since February 2000, which he co-founded in 1988.
He has more than 20 years of experience in technology and business process outsourcing. He is credited with leveraging breakthrough technology as a driver of accelerated growth and building a client-centric organization to achieve the highest client satisfaction and retention levels in the outsourcing services industry. He is highly regarded as an industry leader in using technology to build client-centric services organizations and guiding companies through growth and expansion. He has been a Director of Savista LLC since May 2004.
He attended Saint Mary's College.
Robert
A. Beck II, CLU
Founder
Mr. Beck is the founder of AlphaStaff and also serves on the company’s Board. He brings an insurance, financial and marketing background and heritage to AlphaStaff. He first entered the insurance industry in 1970 as an insurance agent while attending college full time. Since that time, he has held many positions in the insurance industry ranging from agent, sales manager, field training consultant, district sales manager, principal of a multi-state insurance benefits brokerage agency and president of a group of insurance companies.
Mr. Beck serves on the board of the Florida Association of PEOs (FAPEO). He also serves on the board of the Employers Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC) which provides PEO accreditation and financial assurance covering over $17 billion of annual employee wages. Currently only 24 PEOs in the US have been able to meet the ESAC accreditation standards. http://esacorp.org/
Mr. Beck received his CLU designation in 1975. He has a BS and MBA degree from Syracuse University.
Jay
Starkman:
President and CEO
Mr. Starkman joined AlphaStaff as its President and a member of its Board of Directors in December of 2002. As President and CEO, Mr. Starkman is ultimately responsible for all areas of the company.
Prior to joining AlphaStaff, Mr. Starkman was President and CEO of OneChem, a software application provider to the chemical industry. While at OneChem, Mr. Starkman transitioned an idea from proof of concept into a successful technology platform that received widespread interest across industries relying heavily on multi-level transactions, transfer of goods and communications. He also raised significant amounts of investment capital and architected and drove to closure multi-million dollar joint ventures, strategic partnerships and international acquisitions.
Previously, Mr. Starkman had a distinguished legal career, serving as the managing partner of his firm for approximately 10 years, and, thereafter, as a partner at Steel Hector & Davis, an international full service firm. While with his firm, Mr. Starkman argued a seminal case before the United States Supreme Court in 1999 on complex RICO/employment laws. He also served as lead counsel in numerous trials, appeals and settlements in complex, multi-million dollar RICO, antitrust, First Amendment, products liability, labor and commercial cases and was repeatedly called to testify as an expert witness in complex commercial cases. Mr. Starkman was retained by General Electric Medical Systems to build and supervise a team of over 10 Latin American law firms handling over 200 cases in countries throughout South America. Mr. Starkman also developed business models, structured contracts/transactions and brought together US technology and European industry expertise to launch $100+ million economic developmental ventures in Europe.
