Mitigating Liability

A small wholesale distributer of consumer products received a serious harassment-related claim from an employee. AlphaStaff was called in to provide guidance and complete a good faith investigation. An AlphaStaff EEOC mediation specialist was then able to review the findings of the investigative report with the client to determine appropriate next steps, saving the client from paying for a significant amount of legal counsel.

A mid-size concrete manufacturing company suffered a worksite employee accident.

OSHA also investigated the incident and levied several citations against the client resulting in thousands of dollars in fines.

AlphaStaff also reviewed the incident and the client's safety processes and identified that although the client had safety equipment like fall protection devices, there was no stated policy for proper use and overall, they did not have a strong overall safety program in place.

An AlphaStaff Loss Control & Safety Consultant helped the client develop several new safety programs and procedures including quarterly safety inspections, and enrollment in the OSHCON program to continue enforcement and integration of their new safety programs. AlphaStaff also accompanied them to their OSHA hearings and helped them negotiate an agreement that helped them reduce their fines by more than 30% and the ability to pay the fines over time.

The client continues to work closely with AlphaStaff to implement their safety programs to ensure consistent policy improvement s and create a culture of safety across their organization.
