President and CEO
Cristina Bouchard initially joined AlphaStaff in 2004 as part of AlphaStaff’s MGA division. During her tenure she held various management and leadership roles, including President & CEO from 2013 to 2015. In 2017, Cristina once again took on the title of President & CEO and is currently responsible for AlphaStaff’s overall business strategy and operations.
Cristina has over 17 years of brokerage experience as well as significant experience in account management, employee benefits sales and operations, and general management. She previously served as vice president, Global Relationship Management – Broker & Consultant Strategy at MetLife. In this role, she was responsible for identifying key opportunities to partner with brokerage and consulting firms with the goal of increasing alignment and developing common growth strategies at a global level in over 40 countries, while also implementing them successfully at a regional and local level.
Before transitioning to the employee benefit industry, Cristina started her career in hospitality. While in the hospitality industry, she held management roles with Don Shula’s Hotel and Country Club. She also was part of Shula’s Steak Houses, Inc., a start up with focus on licensing restaurant concepts.
Cristina received her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and has her license in Life, Health, and Variable Annuities, as well as member of the Florida International University president’s council. She is based in Florida and is a proud mother of two daughters.
Chief Financial Officer
David Rattner, Chief Financial Officer, joined AlphaStaff in November 2017. As a key member of the Executive Management team, David reports to the Chief Executive Officer and assumes a strategic role in the overall management of the company. He has day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities of the company. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, IT, payroll operations, and strategic planning.
He brings over 20 years of significant public company and operational expertise in the consumer products industry having served as Vice President of Finance for Elizabeth Arden, Inc., where he held a variety of leadership positions, and as Chief Financial Officer at Perry Ellis International.
David is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
Beatriz (Betty) Llorens Koltis
Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel
Betty Koltis, our Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, joined AlphaStaff in January 2019. She is responsible for the administrative, legal and insurance affairs of the Company with oversight over Legal, Risk, including Workers Compensation, Benefits Agency and Operations, and Corporate HR. Betty previously served as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Elizabeth Arden, Inc., where she was a member of the legal team for over ten years. Betty has over 25 years of in-house and private practice experience representing publicly-traded and private companies in various industries in the areas of public and private debt and equity financings, SEC reporting and compliance, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, international tax support, and operational support for various functions, such as sales, supply chain, logistics, IT, distributor markets, and international affiliate operations.
Betty graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1990 and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting, summa cum laude, from Stetson University in 1987. She is a member of the Florida Bar and a member of the Board of Advisors of Stetson University School of Business Administration.
Head of Client Operations
Francine Baccarella joined AlphaStaff as the Head of Client Operations in May 2022. Francine is responsible for leading the operations and management of Payroll, Implementation, Recruiting, and Risk and Unemployment Claims at AlphaStaff. She has over 20 years of experience in the PEO industry and previously owned a successful PEO consulting practice for two years, where she worked with private equity firms on mergers and acquisitions.
Francine enjoys going to Pilates classes and the beach. She also loves cooking and spending time with her family.
Head of Technology Operations
Jeff Smith first joined AlphaStaff in 2007 and was our VP of Operations until 2015. He returned in 2021 as Head of Technology Operations, bringing additional experience in leading operations of a SaaS (Software as a Service) and developing the infrastructure of a newly built PEO. In his role, Jeff oversees our Client Technology and IT departments. With more than 35 years of experience in managing, operating and training in finance and HR solutions, Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge to help guide strategy for AlphaStaff.
Outside of the office, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, including his two daughters and two grandsons.
Deputy General Counsel
Sharee Eriks, Deputy General Counsel, joined AlphaStaff in January 2018 after spending seven years in private practice, focusing on labor and employment litigation and counseling. She is a member of the Executive Management team and supports the entire company with contractual, operational and compliance-related legal needs. Sharee manages all litigated matters, handles vendor and PEO contracts, and ensures AlphaStaff maintains compliance with ESAC, federal and state regulations. She also leverages her extensive knowledge and experience with employee relations issues to partner with AlphaStaff’s HR professionals in evaluating and delivering comprehensive solutions to clients.
Sharee is a Seattle, Washington native, received her B.A. from the University of Washington, and obtained her law degree from Boston University School of Law.
Head of Business Development
Harry Glazer joined AlphaStaff in 2015 with the goal of expanding AlphaStaff’s presence in the Western States. With a proven track record of adding value to the business, Harry now serves as AlphaStaff’s Head of Business Development, overseeing all growth-related initiatives.
With over 18 years in the HR and PEO industry combined, Harry approaches relationship engagements with a consultative and value-driven mindset. Additionally, Harry holds his insurance license and is actively working towards his SHRM certification.
Head of Sales - Employee Benefits
Kyle Hanlon joined AlphaStaff MGA in 2021 with more than five years of experience in management. In his new role as Head of Sales, Kyle works closely with our leadership team to represent AlphaStaff MGA’s goals, mission and values to achieve business objectives. Prior to joining our company, Kyle spent three years with Cigna as a New Business Executive. Kyle’s unique background in high-level athletics and his love for helping others shapes his leadership strategy to drive his team towards success.
When he’s not in the office, Kyle enjoys golfing, fishing and wakeboarding. He also volunteers his time to help with clean drinking water projects in Africa and South America.
Director of Operations - Employee Benefits
Erica Egusquiza joined AlphaStaff in 2021 with over 22 years of Employee Benefits and 401K Administration experience. Erica began her career at Femwell Group Health as a Benefits Coordinator, working her way up to Benefits Manager and was later promoted to Senior Benefits Manager.
Erica received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration. In her free time, Erica enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, traveling and cooking.
