Cristina Bouchard

Cristina Bouchard

President and CEO

Cristina Bouchard initially joined AlphaStaff in 2004 as part of AlphaStaff’s MGA division. During her tenure she held various management and leadership roles, including President & CEO from 2013 to 2015. In 2017, Cristina once again took on the title of President & CEO and is currently responsible for AlphaStaff’s overall business strategy and operations.

Cristina has over 17 years of brokerage experience as well as significant experience in account management, employee benefits sales and operations, and general management. She previously served as vice president, Global Relationship Management – Broker & Consultant Strategy at MetLife. In this role, she was responsible for identifying key opportunities to partner with brokerage and consulting firms with the goal of increasing alignment and developing common growth strategies at a global level in over 40 countries, while also implementing them successfully at a regional and local level.

Before transitioning to the employee benefit industry, Cristina started her career in hospitality. While in the hospitality industry, she held management roles with Don Shula’s Hotel and Country Club. She also was part of Shula’s Steak Houses, Inc., a start up with focus on licensing restaurant concepts.

Cristina received her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and has her license in Life, Health, and Variable Annuities, as well as member of the Florida International University president’s council. She is based in Florida and is a proud mother of two daughters.

David Rattner

David Rattner

Chief Financial Officer

David Rattner, Chief Financial Officer, joined AlphaStaff in November 2017. As a key member of the Executive Management team, David reports to the Chief Executive Officer and assumes a strategic role in the overall management of the company. He has day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities of the company. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, IT, payroll operations, and strategic planning.

He brings over 20 years of significant public company and operational expertise in the consumer products industry having served as Vice President of Finance for Elizabeth Arden, Inc., where he held a variety of leadership positions, and as Chief Financial Officer at Perry Ellis International.

David is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

Beatriz (Betty) Llorens Koltis

Beatriz (Betty) Llorens Koltis

Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel

Betty Koltis, our Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, joined AlphaStaff in January 2019.  She is responsible for the administrative, legal and insurance affairs of the Company with oversight over Legal, Risk, including Workers Compensation, Benefits Agency and Operations, and Corporate HR.  Betty previously served as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Elizabeth Arden, Inc., where she was a member of the legal team for over ten years. Betty has over 25 years of in-house and private practice experience representing publicly-traded and private companies in various industries in the areas of public and private debt and equity financings, SEC reporting and compliance, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, international tax support, and operational support for various functions, such as sales, supply chain, logistics, IT,  distributor markets, and  international affiliate operations.

Betty graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School  in 1990 and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting, summa cum laude, from Stetson University in 1987. She is a member of the Florida Bar and a member of the Board of Advisors of Stetson University School of Business Administration.

Paul Runyan

Chief Client Officer

Paul Runyan joined AlphaStaff as Chief Client Officer (CCO) in March 2023. As CCO, Paul works with our teams to ensure we win our clients’ business every day. He is also responsible for client relationships and services, client solutions, and information technology.

Paul has over 20 years of leadership experience providing HR services to corporate clients and large organizations. He began his career as an aerospace engineer designing flight control systems for the Office of Naval Research. Paul uses the problem-solving skills and solution-oriented approach he learned during this role to tackle the human capital and organizational challenges he has encountered throughout his career. His favorite part of his job is working to understand our clients’ business needs and identifying the right solutions for them so our clients can focus on what matters most to them.

When he’s not in the office, you can find Paul spending time with his four sons, who keep him young and make him feel older simultaneously.

Cathryn C. Ross

Cathryn C. Ross

Head of Employee Benefits Operations

Cathryn C. Ross joined AlphaStaff in March 2023 as Head of Employee Benefits Operations. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the operations of our benefits department and collaborating with other departments to ensure our clients receive exceptional service. Since joining AlphaStaff, she has been promoted to overseeing operations for our agency business and recently joined our senior leadership team.

Cathryn has over 24 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. She has held roles in leadership and collaborated directly with clients of all sizes and funding types, and specializes in providing strategic, comprehensive, and cost-effective consulting solutions for all types of clients. She excels at keeping up with the ever-changing world of benefits, compliance, human resources and technology while applying her knowledge and skillset to assist clients and team members.

Cathryn has a degree in Business Administration, licensed in Life, Health, and Variable Annuities, certified in Long Term Care and has a Self-Funding Specialist designation. She is originally from Alpena, Michigan, and has lived in sunny South Florida for over 39 years, where she enjoys spending time with her husband, seven children and grandchildren.
