David Rattner, Chief Financial Officer, joined AlphaStaff in November 2017. As a key member of the Executive Management team, David reports to the Chief Executive Officer and assumes a strategic role in the overall management of the company. He has day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities of the company. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, treasury, tax, and strategic planning.

He brings over 20 years of significant public company and operational expertise in the consumer products industry having served as Vice President of Finance for Elizabeth Arden, Inc., where he held a variety of leadership positions, and as Chief Financial Officer at Perry Ellis International.

David is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

Marrico Wright joined AlphaStaff in October 2024. He is responsible for leading all revenue-related functions, including business development, sales, and marketing.

Marrico is a business leader with 15+ years of experience advising executive teams and building or transforming finance and revenue organizations to help businesses get to the next level. He brings a commercial mindset and business-centric approach to defining and achieving strategic, financial, and operational objectives.

Prior to joining AlphaStaff, Marrico served as the Head of Commercial Finance, Treasury, and Investor Relations at Press Ganey Forsta, a global private equity backed SaaS business. He also held two CFO roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co. – one in investment banking technology and one in real estate – as well as global strategy and transformational finance roles at Citigroup pre and post the 2008 financial crisis.

Marrico graduated from the University of Miami School of Business with minors in Computer Information Systems and International Relations. He is a founding member of the University of Miami Young Alumni Leadership Council and a passionate mentor.

Lauren Smith joined AlphaStaff in 2024 and is responsible for overseeing its legal affairs and Corporate HR. Previously, she served as the Global Compliance Officer and Senior Corporate Attorney at a publicly traded global door manufacturer.

Lauren’s extensive legal background includes advising companies on employment law and HR-related issues, corporate governance, and investigations, as well standing up global compliance and privacy programs, addressing ethics issues, overseeing technology transactions, and maintaining intellectual property portfolios. Drawing from over 19 years of legal experience as both in-house and outside counsel, as well as government and private practice litigation positions, Lauren is passionate about supporting AlphaStaff’s growth as a strategic, trusted partner.

Lauren graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication, also cum laude, from Florida State University. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and Certified In-House Counsel, and holds a Competition Compliance Certificate from George Washington University. In 2021, Lauren was named a Top Corporate Counsel Honoree by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

A member of the Florida Bar, Lauren also serves on the Advisory Board of Directors for VISTE (Volunteers in Service for the Elderly). She resides in Lakeland, Florida, where she enjoys running, traveling, reading, and spending time with her three children, husband, family, and friends.

Aylin Pardo joined AlphaStaff in 2022 leading the Corporate Human Resources function. In her current role, Aylin is focused on leading innovative HR strategies, expanding recruiting services as a business, and fostering a people-first culture.

She has over 25 years of experience in the Human Resources arena in industries such as technology and retail with extensive experience in multinational corporations and franchise models. She started her career at Microsoft Corporation, where she gained foundational HR experience in the Latin American market before transitioning to Yum! brands where she held leadership roles overseeing HR for the region, including heading HR for Pizza Hut Latin America.

Building on this experience, Aylin further expanded her expertise by working on the franchisee side with KFC and Taco Bell, gaining valuable insight into the entrepreneurial aspects of the business.

Aylin holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and human resources management from Florida Atlantic University. Outside work, she enjoys the beach, being outdoors, exercising, walking, and reading.

Cathryn C. Ross joined AlphaStaff in March 2023 as the Head of Employee Benefits Operations. In this role, she oversees the operations of our benefits department, collaborating closely with other departments to ensure exceptional service for our clients. Since her arrival, Cathryn has been promoted to oversee compliance and operations for our agency business. She is also a valued member of our senior leadership team.

With over 25 years of experience in the employee benefits industry, Cathryn has held leadership positions, overseen mergers and acquisitions, and worked in client-facing roles with national employers of all sizes and funding types. She specializes in providing strategic, comprehensive, and cost-effective consulting solutions tailored to the diverse needs of her clients. Cathryn is highly adept at navigating the ever-evolving landscape of benefits, compliance, human resources, and technology, applying her expertise to support both clients and team members.

Cathryn holds a degree in Business Administration and is licensed in Life, Health, and Variable Annuities. She is certified in Long-Term Care and holds a Self-Funding Specialist designation. In addition, she has previously earned a customer service accreditation for P&C and is currently pursuing the CEBS designation.

Originally from Alpena, Michigan, Cathryn has called sunny South Florida home for over 40 years. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, seven children, grandchildren, and fur babies.
